benchprep holiday giftbox 2019

As Graphic Designer at BenchPrep, my role in the marketing department means creating print & digital collaterals, social images, ads, blog assets, maintaing the website and more. My other duties include designing internal fun things for the company: swag, event posters, chalk walls and our BenchPrep Holiday Giftbox 2019! I was given the task of designing the company's client giftboxes for the holiday season. Over 100 boxes to be mailed to our clients filled with goodies - and this year's theme? Cooking and family!

We knew we'd include a cookbook in the box of recipes from coworkers that they prepare with their familes, but what about the box design itself? I thought to design the box to be a book, too! So when our clients receive the gift and open it up, it's like a book and you uncover the contents inside. Along with having to design all of the other goodies inside, I had to design the cookbook we wanted to include! From ideation, gathering recipes from coworker and figuring out how to lay everything out, it was a very fun journey! Many elements are hand drawn then digitized specially for this project.

From ideation to physically putting the boxes together with all of its contents, it was truly an immense learning experience and wonderful introduction to all facets of desiging for the company. Below are images of the process and the final product.
